Optometrist opportunity
We’re looking for an optometrist.
Join a busy independent practice serving a broad Santa Maria patient population. Step into established demand and help shape the next stage of the practice.
A full schedule from the start
We already have more patient demand than our current team can comfortably serve, so you won’t be building a patient base from zero.
Practice the medical model
Evaluate ocular health, confirm refractive and binocular status, order testing, manage treatment, recommend eyewear, and coordinate surgical referrals.
Broad clinical experience
Comprehensive exams, dry eye, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma, specialty lenses, binocular vision, children’s care, and complex older patients.
Trained chairside support
Trained chairside assistants handle data entry, preliminary measurements, refractions, and specialized testing, so the doctor can focus on diagnosis and treatment.
Advanced equipment in place
The practice uses OCT, VEP/ERG, aberrometry, infrared imaging, and other specialized tools, already installed and in daily use.
Help expand the Dry Eye Clinic
The existing Dry Eye Clinic uses treatments including MiBoFlo heat massage, photobiomodulation, and radiofrequency, and the practice is expanding its treatment space.
Build new specialty care
There’s also room to start a vision-training program.

The office currently has 12 rooms and is expanding into the adjacent space, creating additional capacity for doctors, treatments, and specialty services.
Live on the Central Coast
Santa Maria sits between Santa Barbara and Paso Robles, with access to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, wine country, hiking, cycling, and a mild coastal climate.
